Day 1: Tanzania Budget Wildlife Safari Begins – Nairobi to Masai Mara
Your Kenya Tanzania budget wildlife safari begins with a confirmed pick-up in Nairobi. After a short safari briefing and introduction, depart between 8:00am and 8:30am and drive through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy scenic views of the escarpment wall. Continue to Narok town for snacks or lunch before proceeding to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive at Miti Mingi Eco Camp for check-in and lunch. Later in the afternoon, enjoy your first Masai Mara game drive until sunset. Dinner, bonfire and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 2: Masai Mara Safari Experience
Spend a full day exploring Masai Mara Game Reserve, one of Kenya’s best wildlife safari destinations. After breakfast at the camp, leave with packed picnic lunch boxes for an extensive game drive. Search for the Big Five and other wildlife in their natural habitat. The day’s safari may include sightings of elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, antelopes, gazelles, zebras, giraffes, lions, hippos, crocodiles and many bird species. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner, bonfire and overnight stay.
Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, visit a local Maasai village for a cultural tour and interaction with the community. Learn about Maasai traditions, homesteads and dances before departing for Lake Nakuru. Drive through the scenic Rift Valley and arrive in Nakuru in the early evening. Check in and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at City Max Hotel.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for a morning game drive. Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s beautiful national parks and is well known for birdlife, flamingos and wildlife viewing. The park is also home to endangered black and white rhinos. Later, exit the park and drive to Amboseli National Park. Arrive at Amboseli Nyati Safari Camp in the evening for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Amboseli Safari Experience
Enjoy breakfast at the campsite with beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro, weather permitting. By 8:00am, leave the campsite for a full-day safari experience across Amboseli National Park. Drive through the open Amboseli plains and visit the Amboseli viewpoint for spectacular views of the park and Mount Kilimanjaro. Break for picnic lunch, then continue with an afternoon game drive around the swampy areas where elephants and other animals gather for water. Return to the campsite in the evening for dinner, bonfire and overnight stay.
Day 6: Amboseli National Park – Arusha
After an early breakfast at the campsite, check out and enjoy a final game drive in Amboseli National Park on the way to Namanga border. The drive from Amboseli Kimana Gate to the Amboseli–Namanga route takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Complete immigration and health procedures at the border, then continue to Arusha town. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Charity Hotel or Ambassador Hotel in Arusha.
Day 7: Arusha – Lake Manyara
Your professional driver-guide will meet you at the hotel in the morning for a short safari briefing. Depart Arusha with packed picnic lunch boxes and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a sightseeing and wildlife safari experience. Lake Manyara is a soda ash lake known for flamingos, beautiful scenery and diverse wildlife. The park is also famous for tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, warthogs, baboons and lesser-known wildlife such as dik-diks and klipspringers. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Sun Bright Campsite or Panorama Campsite.
Day 8: Tanzania Budget Wildlife Safari to Serengeti
After breakfast, continue your Kenya Tanzania budget wildlife safari to Serengeti National Park. On the way, visit Olduvai Gorge Museum, where early human remains were discovered millions of years ago. This visit is optional and may attract an extra cost of USD 40 per person. Upon arrival, proceed to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife safari destinations. The plains are known for the Great Migration of wildebeest and are also home to elephants, cheetahs, lions, giraffes and many bird species. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a tented camp in Central Serengeti.
Day 9: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, enjoy your final Serengeti game drive as you search for more wildlife, including prides of lions and other animals across the plains. Later, exit Serengeti National Park and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You may also choose to visit a local community as an optional activity. Dinner, bonfire and overnight stay will be at Simba Campsite.
Day 10: Tanzania Budget Wildlife Safari – Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast, descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 6-hour game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is one of Tanzania’s most beautiful natural wonders, with woodlands, savannah, forests and highlands that support a high concentration of wildlife. Look out for rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, hippos and elephants. Later, drive back to Arusha for drop-off at Ambassador Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.
