Continue with tracking of the Samburu special five this morning. We will have a short morning game drive in Samburu National Park and depart for Aberdares National Park. The park is highly forested and therefore a bit hard to spot animals, on a game drive. However, the Treetops lodge offers you a safari experience like no other, where a few balconies of the hotel can be used to view animals in the nearby waterhole. Sitting on your balcony, you can see the elephants tromp their way to the waterhole, and other rare sightings include Giant Forest Hog, bongo, golden cat, African civet cat, and serval cat. The park forested ravines are also habitat to Black rhinos, spotted hyenas, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs, bushbucks, leopards among many others. This park is also known for its birdlife, with over 250 species recorded here, among them, Plovers, sunbirds, eagles, Jackson’s Francolin, Sparrow hawks, and eagles. Day 4: Aberdare National Park to Lake Nakuru National Park
Leaving the Aberdare Mountain Ranges behind, we venture through the Kenyan beautiful landscapes to Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is one of the most beautiful parks in East Africa, is known for its large population of bird species as a rhino sanctuary. The black and white rhinos can be found here, and the Rothschild’s giraffe. The park is unique, not only in Kenya but in Africa as well, with the biggest euphorbia forest, yellow acacia woodlands, and picturesque landscape. Over 56 species can be found here, including the waterbucks. Upon arrival, you can have a short game drive or just relax in the hotel as you enjoy the cool serene environment. Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara Game Reserve
We have our breakfast early at the Lodge, we will enjoy an early morning game drive in the Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is widely known as a haven for birds and is a habitat for diverse wildlife, giving a new Kenya safari experience from what you will have seen in the previous days. This alkaline lake is covered by pink flamingos on its shorelines; eagles soar out on the sky, with storks and pelicans wading in the shallow parts of the lake. The endangered black and white rhinos plod out from the bushes, buffalos and giraffes stand against the trees and lions can be seen on the tree branches as well. This park also is a habitat to others like the zebras, antelopes, hyenas, waterbucks among many others. This park provides a unique wildlife safari experience and lifetime memories. Later we will exit the park and start our journey to Masai Mara Game Reserve, whereupon arrival; we can have a short game drive-time permitting, before retiring to our accommodation. Day 6: Explore the Wonders of Masai Mara
A Kenya safari adventure must take you to the majestic Masai Mara. A whole day spent at Masai Mara Game Reserve exploring the vast plains, in search of its wildlife, a haven for the big cats. Masai Mara Game Reserve is one of the most-known parks in the world and is a wildlife sanctuary for Kenya. Sightings for today include Cheetahs, Elephants, Buffalos, Zebras dominate the scene while Antelopes, Warthogs, Wildebeests form formidable numbers. Masai Mara has the highest concentration of wildlife per square kilometer than any other park in the region. You will have your picnic lunch and continue to venture through the plains looking out for real close wildlife encounters. Tracing the various animals, you find yourself at the Mara River which has crocodiles and hippos; this is the wildebeest crossing point from the neighboring Serengeti. The Mara plains comprise of wildlife and the communities of the Maasai people. An optional local Masai Village visit can be arranged at the end of the day at an extra cost. Day 7: Masai Mara to Amboseli National Park
We have an early breakfast with a short game drive en-route to Amboseli. We will have a stop on the way, along the scenic routes and to have lunch. We arrive in Amboseli in the evening, where you will check-in to your lodge, for a rest, and dinner. Your Lodge in Amboseli will be Amboseli Serena Lodge/Satao Elerai Camp or Similar.
Day 8: Amboseli National Park Full day
A full day of game drives in this park will showcase the large numbers of wildlife easily found bathing in the swamps found here. Amboseli National park gives a beautiful safari experience and breath-taking scenery as you watch the elephants and buffalos roam at the base of Mt Kilimanjaro. Apart from the elephants; you will also encounter cheetahs, Zebras, hyenas, and many others. You will have your picnic lunch in a shade in the park and then continue with the afternoon game-viewing. When the clouds clear off in the evening, you can see the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Later you will head back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Amboseli National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast leave for Namanga Border from where you finalize the border formalities and proceed to Aretha arriving by lunchtime. In the afternoon depart for Ngorongoro arriving early evening, beginning the second part of the East Africa safari.
Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, leave with packed lunch and descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 6 hours game drive. Ngorongoro Crater has a stunning landscape consisting of vast expanses of woodlands, savannah forests, and highlands. This combined with a high concentration of wildlife, ranging from the endangered rhino species, the big cats, which include the lions, the elusive leopard, cheetahs, etc. and others like zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and the giant African elephants, makes it one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world. Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park
After our breakfast, we head to Serengeti via the Ol Duvai Gorge Museum, where the early man appeared, a million years ago (You can make an optional visit to the museum at an extra cost of 40$ per person). Upon arrival, we will head to the Serengeti National Park, which is widely known for the greatest wildlife spectacle, the great migration of wildebeest. The Plains are also home to a resident population of elephants, cheetahs, lions, giraffes and birds. Dinner and overnight shall be at a lodge. Day 12: Full Day in the majestic Serengeti Plains
Tanzania safari tour is more magical with a full day in Serengeti and gives you a whole day to relax. Our day starts early morning with breakfast and leaves for the park with picnic lunches. A full day in the Serengeti is an adventurous safari experience and does not disappoint. Perhaps the most famous fascination with Serengeti is the wildebeest migration, which flows from the south to the Northern side of the park in the months of April to June. Throughout the year, other residents of this park roam freely here, the likes of lions, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, serval cats, and more wildlife. Day 13: Serengeti- Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will have your final game drive in Serengeti National Park, known for the great wildebeest migration and many animals. Later depart to Lake Manyara with your lunch en-route arriving in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at a lodge- Lake Manyara wildlife Lodge/Serena Safari Lodge or Similar.
Day 14: Lake Manyara – Arusha
Early breakfast and then head to the Lake Manyara a game drive in this stunning park, rich in wildlife and diverse landscape. Lake Manyara is a gem worth a stop while on a Tanzania safari tour. The groundwater forest fed by the water springs supports a rich ecosystem for wildlife such as the pink flamingoes concentrated on the lake shores, giant African elephant herds, troops of baboons, giraffes, hippos, and birds like the Ruppel’s Griffon, Peregrin Falcon, Augur Buzzard, and the Verreaux’s Eagle. Lake Manyara National Park is also widely known for its tree-climbing lions and the hot water springs found here. This park offers a comprehensive Tanzania safari tour experience. Later we drive back to Arusha, upon arrival, you will be transferred back to Nairobi.
