4 DAYS TANZANIA BUDGET CAMPING SAFARIS: MANYARA – NGORONGORO – TARANGIRE SAFARI
Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara
Our professional driver guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning, who will brief you about the safari and after depart for Lake Manyara arriving at your camp in time for lunch. Later, we head into the park for game viewing. This soda ash lake consists of huge flocks of flamingos, giving a breath-taking scenery. The park is also famously known for its tree-climbing lions, big number of elephants, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, warthogs, baboons and the lesser known wildlife like the dik-diks, and the klipspringer. Dinner and overnight will be in basic tents at the Panorama Campsite/similar.
Day 2: Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater
We have an early breakfast in Lake Manyara National Park and depart to Ngorongoro Crater. We will have our lunch on the way arriving in time to enter the Ngorongoro National Park for game viewing. You will descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater, which has a stunning landscape consisting of the vast expanses of woodlands, savannah forests and highlands. This combined with a high concentration of wildlife, ranging from the endangered rhino species, the big cats, which include the lions, the elusive leopard, cheetahs etc. and others like zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos and the giant African elephants, makes it one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world. Dinner and overnight will be in tents, at the Simba Campsite/similar.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park
We depart Ngorongoro Crater after an early breakfast and head to Tarangire National Park, with lunch en-route. We have an afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park consists of giant African Baobab trees and Acacia woodland and swampy areas where the large elephant herds romp freely. The park is also home to the fringed-eared Oryx, ashy starlings and the Greater Kudu. Dinner and overnight will be in temporary basic tents at the Tarangire Campsite/similar.
Day 4: Tarangire National Park- Arusha
After breakfast proceed for a morning game viewing drive. This park is one of the underrated national parks, and is gem of the northern Tanzania tourist circuit. The park boasts of a diverse landscape and a variety of wildlife. The park is set against a back drop of acacia and baobab trees making for a beautiful safari experience. From the large number of elephants, giraffes that attract visitors from all over the world, to the small dik-dik. Tarangire National park is also home to the endangered wildlife species, the tiny Ashy Starling, the Greater Kudu and the fringe-eared Oryx with its graceful horns. Later we will get out of the park and head to Arusha. Our African safari will end with a drop off at our hotel-booked on bed and breakfast.
