Mount Kilimanjaro Day Hike
A one-day rainforest walk on Kilimanjaro's lower slopes from Arusha towards Mandara Hut, with a possible Maundi Crater side trip. It does not go to the summit.

Day by day
Day 1
Arusha to Mandara Hut and back
After breakfast and a briefing, drive from Arusha to Marangu Gate, where you complete park registration before beginning the hike through rainforest towards Mandara Hut at about 2,740 metres. Expect 7 kilometres and 4-5 walking hours, with lunch on the trek, before the return drive to Arusha. This is a lower-slope day walk; it does not approach the summit.
