Day 1:

We leave the Nairobi Central Business district early morning and head to the Nairobi National Park. This wilderness in a city is home to the endangered black rhinoceros, leopards, buffalos, hyenas, cheetahs, over 400 species of birds, lions and more. This park provides a chance for visitors to have a safari experience without travelling to other parts of the country. The park also has nature walk trails which visitors can enjoy, as well as picnic sites. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, popularly known as the Elephant Orphanage, gives visitors a chance to view the elephants, while supporting a great cause. The elephant Orphanage focuses on the protection of baby elephants who were orphaned either due to poaching or other natural causes. You get to watch as they are fed and learn more about the protection efforts for elephants and other wildlife. The Giraffe Centre was established to focus on the protection of the Rothschild giraffes and has combined these conservation efforts with fun activities for visitors. You can feed the giraffes and even give them a kiss, for an experience that is very enjoyable.
