Safari Overview

Day 1: Nairobi-Samburu

Pick up from the hotel at around 0800hr – 0830hrs, you commence the drive to Samburu National Park. This adventure to Kenya’s northern tourist circuit is one of the best parts of your Kenya safari. You get to stop on the equator line where you can take photos and learn about the geographic importance of the equator line. You continue with our drive with lunch en-route, arriving in the evening in time for a short game viewing session before you rest. The plains, you can see mammals feeding, the elephants, and others like impalas, grevy’s zebra and the gran’s gazelle, which huddle together for safety. Your next day will give you more time to explore the unique wildlife and flora found here. Dinner and overnight will be at a camp.

Day 2: A full Day exploring the wonders of Samburu

After your early breakfast, you will spend the day in Samburu National Park, searching for the game found here. More unique wildlife can be found here, such as Beisa Oryxes, generuk gazelle, lesser kudus and more. You will have an extended game drive that will take you to the Buffalo springs and the banks of Ewaso Ngiro River where the wildlife is more concentrated. Lions, Leopards and elephants may also be seen here. You will picnic lunch in the park and continue with your game viewing till the evening, where you can return to the camp, you can visit the Samburu women or just rest. Dinner and overnight is at the budget camp.

Day 3: Samburu – Lake Nakuru

After our breakfast, we have a short game drive as we exit Lake Nakuru National Park. We will have a stop at the Thomson’s falls; you can see them while standing on the designated viewpoints, or follow the trail to the foot of the falls. Your drive to Nakuru is scenic; you can see tea plantations and coffee plantation on the way, combined with the lush forests, which are hard to miss. You will arrive in Nakuru in time for lunch and your afternoon will be spend at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Nakuru Hotel.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru -Lake Baringo / Bogoria

Leaving from Lake Nakuru after breakfast we make a scenic drive to the west across the Lerochi Plateau, arriving at Lake Baringo in time for Lunch. Have an afternoon day trip to Lake Bogoria to explore the Lake Geysers and Hot springs and in good day you will view Kudus, Antelopes, Giraffes, later head back to Baringo, Optional Boat Ride at the Lake. Later we will go back to Lake Nakuru, for Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru -Maasai Mara

Depart from Lake Nakuru after breakfast and head for Maasai Mara National Reserve which is famous for its great herds of wild game. Almost all animals found in Kenya amongst them the “big five” are found here. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 6: A Full Day in Maasai Mara Wild Plains

We leave the camp in the morning to explore the majestic wild plains of Masai Mara game reserve. The game reserve is packed with huge herds of elephants, zebras, rhinos and all kinds of game throughout the year with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. Being at Maasai Mara is “as if you found yourself in the New York of the natural world according to some authorities”. Depending on your timing, you can also witness millions of wildebeest crossing this river from the neighboring Serengeti, to look for greener pastures in Masai Mara. The wildebeest Migration is one of the world’s annual spectacular events in the Masai Mara. Indeed Masai Mara Game reserve will offer the one of the best safari experience on your safari tour in Kenya. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 7: Maasai Mara -Amboseli

Depart Mara after breakfast and proceed to Amboseli, lunch will be en-route to the Park. Upon arrival at the park, check-in to your camp for dinner and overnight. Amboseli is at the Slope or Foot of the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak.

Day 8: Full Day spent in Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, we head to the park for our full day game viewing. Your Kenyan adventure today, consists of panoramic views, large herds of elephants walking slowly on the back drop of Mount Kilimanjaro, buffalos bathing in the swampy areas, giraffes feeding on the treetops, zebras, warthogs, lions and more wildlife. You will have your picnic lunch under a tree shade and continue scouring this semi-arid park, for more of its wildlife. In the evening, when the clouds open, the snow-capped highest peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, is more visible and gives a fairytale view as you marvel at the elephants roaming at the foot of the Mountain. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

Day 9: Amboseli – Nairobi

Depart for Nairobi after breakfast with en-route game drive, arriving late afternoon in Nairobi, Optional Dinner at Carnivore Restaurant at rate of 40 USD Per Person. Dinner will be at 1900Hrs, later transfer to JKIA to board you flight back home.
