Day 1

Nairobi → Maasai Mara

Over the Rift Valley to the Mara

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up in Nairobi and a short briefing before the drive west. Stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where the escarpment falls away to the valley floor, then continue through Narok, the last busy town before the Mara. The farmland gives way to open Maasai grazing country, and by the time you check in at camp you are on the edge of one of Africa's richest wildlife areas. An afternoon game drive introduces the reserve.

Day 3

Maasai Mara → Nairobi

A last look, then back to Nairobi

After breakfast there is the option of visiting a Maasai village to learn about traditional homesteads and daily life (at extra cost). Then leave the Mara region and retrace the route via Narok and the Rift Valley back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Drop-off is at your Nairobi hotel or at the airport for your onward journey.
